Ziva's Rally Advanced Title

Genetic testing is extremely important here at Best Kept Labs. That is why we genetically test all of our potential breeding stock prior to any other tests. Allowing them in our breeding program doesn't happen until they have also passed eye exams (done by a board certified ophthalmologist) and hip tests by PennHip/OFA. Even when we purchase pups from breeders who also test their breeding stock, we still complete BOTH LABRADOR TEST PANELS from Paw Print Genetics. You can see what those tests consist of at www.pawprintgenetics.com. As explained on this site, a genetic carrier should not be bred to a genetic carrier. You cannot LOOK at a dog and know it's genetic make up, hence, the importance of genetic testing prior to breeding.

Ziva is an EIC carrier but clear of all other diseases listed on both Paw Print Genetics Labrador Panels which consists of 15 genetic diseases known to the Labrador Retriever. As a carrier, she cannot pass EIC to any of her puppies. Penn Hip Score is 80% higher than the 24,000 dogs listed in the registry. Her eye exam (done by a board certified canine ophthalmologist) is normal. Ziva also has earned the following AKC Titles: Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Senior Dock Diving (DS) her longest jump so far is 18' 3", Rally Novice (RN) and Rally Advanced (RA) in Rally Obedience. She is very high drive when working and relaxed when lounging around the house.

Grand Dam Annie (Ziva's mother) of these puppies currently holds 17 AKC Performance Titles in Rally, Agility, Lure Coursing, Dock Diving and CGC.

Zeus is a Dilute Factored Chocolate Labrador from Lavish Labs in California, he was was one of the first dilute factored dogs to be in the UKC Top Ten and was #7 in the 2013 Top Ten. He is an International and UKC Show Champion and AKC CGC Titled. There are 31 titles in his pedigree including Conformation Champions, Hunt Test titles, Rally and Obedience Titles.

Zeus's health clearances are OFA Good on Hips and Normal on elbows, CERF (eyes) Normal, is EIC clear, DM Clear, CNM clear, Cysturnia Clear, RD/OSD clear, K Locus (Splash) gene clear, AKC DNA tested Long Coat Clear, PRA/PRCD Clear, Echo (Heart) Normal, Patellas Normal, and Full Detention. He has 31 Titled
dogs in his 5 generation pedigree including his sire “AKC BISS GCH Can CH Highcaliber Labradale Expresso” and many more champions on both sides of his pedigree.

Puppies start BIO SENSOR training at 3 days old to help stimulate brain activity and begin conditioning of their various muscles. Best Kept Labs also applies the "Rules of 7" techniques, provides various age appropriate obstacles when they begin walking to teach balance and stability.

At about 3 1/2 weeks hearing stimulation begins with various sounds starting from a distance and progressively moving closer until puppy and sound are side by side. Weather permitting at the appropriate age, puppies are also taken on regular walks through our 100 acres of trails and woods.
